Description
An original watercolor by Charles P. McCormick nick named Mac McCormick (1898-1970) titled P 51. The artwork depicts a man flying military aircraft marked “-B7.” The artist’s signature is in the lower left corner. This piece has white matting and is set under glass in a black wood frame. The verso is wired for hanging.
Charles P. McCormick was a chairman for McCormick & Company, naval officer, President of the Better Business Bureau of Baltimore in 1938, and a recognized and honored humanitarian. McCormick overall was an upstanding contributing Maryland citizen, who was involved in several other respectable organizations across the United States, that managed to produce several works of art in addition to his many ventures.
