A ornate embossed leather case surrounds this antique Victorian era Ambrotype capturing the image of a studious young man with windswept hair and fashionable attire. The ornate leather wrapped case is lined in persimmon hued silk velvet, trimmed in glittering gold Star detail metal framework with single hook closure. There is deterioration to the silk velvet, the image has a metallic sheen when tilted (could not capture it correctly with my camera - not as obvious as a Daguerreotype) measuring 3” x 2 1/2” x 3/4”...from the Ladow family estate, early Chagrin Falls Ohio residents.
