By registering to bid on any Great Lakes VNTG sale you (the bidder) agree to our Community Guidelines as well as our Terms & Conditions listed below in addition to any additional terms per individual sale.
Great Lakes VNTG Community Guidelines
We will be fair and honest with our buyers and clients. We expect the same in return. If there is an issue we will work it out. Any issue that cannot be worked out between the seller and the buyer will be handled by Great Lakes VNTG home office.
A bid is a legal binding agreement. If you don’t intend to honor your bid please don’t place one.
Our pickup locations vary, please pay attention to the sale location and make sure you are able and willing to be at the subscribed pickup time. Many of our sales are estates and only scheduled for a single day pickup!
Great Lakes VNTG Terms & Conditions
All bidders are required to provide a valid credit card upon registration. This credit card information is encrypted and stored with our credit card processor (Stripe) and not accessible by any users aside from Great Lakes VNTG Administration.
If a bidder does not show up for a pick-up during the designated time or make arrangements before the end of the pick-up window, the card on file will be charged the total invoice amount as well as any associated fees. By bidding with us you agree that we may charge your credit card if necessary.
Buyers Contract: A bid is a legal binding contract. Buyers are responsible for honoring their purchases and payment is expected in full before leaving the premises with your items.
Auction Closing Schedule: Unless otherwise noted each online auction closes two (2) items per minute, unless a is bid made within the two (2) minutes, then the listed item will automatically be extended for an additional (2) minutes.
Bid Increments: Bid increments are as follows $1 increments Up to $10.00, $2 increments up to $25.00, $5 increments up to $100.00, $10 increments up to $500.00, $25 increments up to $1000.00, $50 increments over $1000.00
Payment: We take Cash, Debit & Credit Cards. We do not take personal or business checks. We will add a 11% buyers premium to each invoice & a3% additional fee for card processing when paying with a debit or credit card.
Merchandise Pick-up: Pick-up location will be posted on the winning bidder's invoice along with the prescribed pickup time. If you cannot make the pick-up time please DO NOT BID! No merchandise will be removed from a location or transferred to another location unless paid in full. Failure to Pick-Up or Pay for Merchandise: If a buyer fails to contact the Auction Manager or show up to pick up their items they will immediately lose bidding privileges. Bidding privileges will only be reinstated when the buyer pays all invoices in full whether or not the merchandise is still available to the buyer. A $10.00 disposal fee may be added to the invoice total.
Shipping: Some items are shippable. Please refer to sale specific shipping terms within each online auction.
Transfer of Merchandise: If a seller agrees to transfer an item for an alternative pick up it is the responsibility of the buyer to arrange pick-up within ten (10) business days. We will not call and remind you. After ten (10) business days the items will be considered abandoned and forfeited and become the property of the seller. We may, at our discretion charge a $5.00 transfer fee per standard size box (12x12x16") for items that are transferred to our warehouse.
Inspection of Merchandise: Please inspect your items closely before leaving the property, once you have left the property they are yours. We try to write the conditions to the best of our ability but there is always a matter of interpretation. Please consider and understand that many of the items we sell are estate pieces, and in used condition and will show general signs of wear. If you need additional information about an item or would like to see the piece, please contact the Auction Manager listed for that particular sale.
Untested Merchandise: We cannot test all items, therefore, items sold as "Untested" are sold AS-IS with no warranties expressed or implied.
Use of Site: Great Lakes VNTG and its Associate Sellers cannot, and will not, be held responsible for any interruption in service, errors, and/or omissions, caused by any means and does not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or error free service or use of the Site. Bidder acknowledges that this auction is conducted electronically and relies on hardware and software that may malfunction without warning. Great Lakes VNTG, in its sole discretion, may void any sale, temporarily suspend bidding and re-sell any item/lots that were affected by any malfunction. The decision of the Great Lakes VNTG is final.
Indemnification: Buyer agrees to indemnify Great Lakes VNTG, its affiliates or clients for any damages or losses. Buyers will not hold Great Lakes VNTG, it’s owners, affiliates, clients or its employees, liable for accidents, injury, theft, or incidents related to this purchase.
Shipping is available on small items 12” and under. We do not ship lots or buy-outs.
Please allow 10-15 days after the sale pickup to process shipping. We will add shipping insurance for expensive or fragile merchandise.
To request shipping, please contact the person listed on your invoice.
If shipping is required a $6.00 handling fee per box (or $2.00 per padded envelope) will be added in addition to actual shipping & packing charges. Delicate/breakable/difficult to pack items MAY incur a higher handling fee.
We will pack your items and charge the CC on file to expedite the shipping process.
